Probably my worst Rick Roll was in a resort in Mexico. They started playing it over the loudspeakers. However, I think I was the only one who was actually aware of the significance of the song.

ITT nobody knows what a rickroll is.

Just hearing the song isn't a rickroll. The song coming on, on a jukebox? Not a rickroll. Song playing on loudspeakers at a resort in Mexico? Not a rickroll.

It's only a Rickroll when you are actively tricked into hearing the song while under the explicit assumption that you were going to hear/see something else entirely.

As we all know... it's pretty much the gayest fad out there, and it's quite old. I was just thinking that there should be some kind of punishment for posting a Rick Roll video on FFR. Also, is there some kind of way the site could auto-detect when a Rick Roll link is posted? Another site I go to has Rick Roll links on its "Bad" list.

I agree, and I don't even frequent the forums really. I don't hate rickrolls because I fall for them, but yet I hate them because whoever posts them is usually an idiot.

They're funny if you do them properly and have a limit on them. A member that is hated for bad Rickrolling, however, should be punished.
