So if you go to the Daily Stats and look at your daily stats its off, the USERNAME thingy is missing so everythings off....lemme SS




Its nothing 100% major, just thought i'd let one of the site admins know about it. xD

been reported multiple times. the problem is, none of us admins are seeing it... so we don't know what the issue is with it. likely some IE issue, like all the other issues.

Just checked, works fine in Firefox, but when I look at it in IE, it is messed up.

Microsoft likes to not actually adhere to the standards for internet browsing put together by the WaSP

In fact, I recently discovered that IE 7 only parses the first three letters of colour tags in HTML, such that if I were to spell Gray "GrEy" internet explorer sees "gre" and concludes "You want green" whereas with Gray, you get "gra" which properly displays as gray.

Here look:

This is grey, in IE it probably shows up as green, in firefox etc. it's properly grey

This is what you have to do to make it display as grey in all browsers.

he discovered and showed me that about 2 days ago. either way.... i'm sure y'all have seen multiple layout issues since we implemented the new layout. each and every one of them is caused solely by IE.

you have no idea how much MalDON and crew hate IE at this point.

I never thought my hatred for IE could get any worse until we did this layout. Sadly, the code for the table in which houses that data is in fact 100% correct. if ie isn't going to show it correctly, that is beyond my abilities.

For my website business, we always have problems with the IE...

You should put something on the front page that states, "If you are using Internet Explorer, please do not report any bugs, use Firefox."

That's not the correct way to treat IE users. To them, the site should be displayed the best you can make it without having to tell them their browser sucks. Actually I've found that some things IE does better with rendering wise than Firefox does. But Safari 3 just beats them all.

The problem with IE is of course, that they've gone the route of only allowing their proprietary programs to be used in conjunction with their builds of these browsers/operating systems etc, that if they suddenly reverted to the accepted general standards for the internet, half the websites that exist would suddenly break and be full of ridiculous errors as they were coded to comply with the IE standards their programs demanded, but which would then become incompatible.

Even IE7 and so far as I know, several early builds of IE8 aren't actually properly comaptible with CSS2, and since CSS2 is the greatest thing to happen to html web design since CSS, this obviously creates a few problems.

Is this your own theory, or something you found online?

Because there's something that contradicts it. There was an issue with this in jTWG a while ago where dead people's names were "grey", yet it appeared green to some and confused people. There was also something posted in "green" afterwards, and I noticed something.

This text is "grey."
This text is "green."

Now, in IE, the two colors are in fact green, but a different shade of green. If what you said was true, then the two colors would be the same, but "grey" is a lighter shade of green, while "green" is a darker shade. IE must therefore distinguish a difference between the two, and uses more than just the first 3 letters of the color name.
