If he says "It's been delayed, we're working on it" people will be complaining that he didn't say how long it would be.
If he says "It's been delayed, should be done by X" if it isn't done by X, the complaining will get even worse.

If he says nothing at all, the complaining will be the worst.

dev, I understand that things happen, stuff doesn't go right when we want it to, etc. I also fully understand, and obviously you do too, that people are never satisfied. Ever.

I really cannot see why Tass would be reticent about making another public announcement about it. In all honesty, I think it would quell the unrest, and though many would be disappointed, they would have to deal with it. The King's word is final, ya know?

I didn't think Foil could be any more clear with the point the majority of us are trying to get across.

We are completely FINE with it being delayed.
We are completely FINE with Tass putting in a ton of work.

Here is the point I am trying to make here. He has time to run an Audio contest, but not to tell us

"avmiss fix is being delayed to lack of manpower, and future project planning".

That is where our problem resides. No information. At all.

Edit: More complaining will come from no info than from little info.

Sure, it sucks that a fix is right over the horizon and isn't here yet, but it was how it was for 5 years. Surely another couple weeks isn't actually going to kill anybody.

Your right about that. But if there wasnt any update on avmiss at all, we could care less about this, and we wouldnt even notice it at all. But since Tass let us know about it, and even made dates on when it would be out.. theres no way to stop the complaining. Because now, we expect the udpate since he mentioned it.

Sure, but in the minds of the users, the word "should" becomes "will". Also i must point out that the whole event was based on Avmiss being fixed, For the new FMO's and FGO's being released to celebrate easter. It would be considered a chain. I feel the event was incomplete.
So due to that, the users (like me) become unsatisfied about it. Which would raise the commotion.

But that time table wasn't met. Tass hasn't said anything beyond that, and people are wondering what's wrong. A simple explanation would remedy that, as simplistic as it may be.

Stand in our shoes for second. You get told of the release of something you are eagerly looking forward too. They use that term "should be released by the end of such-and-such" That date comes and goes, and it is not released. You don't really care about it being delayed, you can stand that. But nearly a month goes by without a word of why, or anything along those lines. Yet the overseers have had time to throw some type of contest, and give updates of other projects. Surely you can see where we are coming from.

Once again, to stress my point further, we are not begging for it to be released this second. All we are doing is asking for a little bit of an explanation. Nothing complicated, just SOMETHING would be nice.

So hes picking up excuses like "should be released by the end of the event" too generally. But the public users see it differently, not literally as its said. The public sees it as "Will be released by the end of the event". As for me, i saw it as "Will be released sometime in the event."

Look I don't want to have this turn into another "RELEASE AVMISS FIX NOW LOL" threads. I just would like a few answers. I am NOT, by any means, trying to say everything FFR does is crap, that I demand MUCH more. I am content with a free site offering so much.

All I want are a few answers. And so far all I have found are excuses from mods, not even pertaining to the MAIN subject at hand.

Are you kidding me? I am sure Devonin understands what you are trying to say even if he has the avmiss fix. Please do not make such rash statements.

Subscribers use the beta to test the game. It is a beta, if you do not remember, beta as in a prototype. We being regular users have to wait for the real game. If they release the game, and numerous errors exist, you will not be satisfied. That is why they are holding it back.They want it to be perfect when all the users see it. I am what you called a "public user, by the way."

What problems would cause a game not to be released? Of course, bugs/glitches in the game. Why do they need to tell us?

This may just end up being taken as pointless ranting, and I swear I am not trying to sound like a dick by saying this.

But my suggestion is freaking update the main page more, giving us reasons why stuff is not being released on time(shirts, avmiss fix),not just throwing a contest every week. Or throw the contest, AND give us information. If nothing else, just give us information on what has been going on.

For example:
Hey, the new t-shirts have been delayed. It may be a while longer. K thanks.

More than anything, it's annoying having to search through the forums and seeing a myriad of threads created saying "Why isn't avmiss fix public yet?"

Just, at least post something on the front page about what the progress on everything is, be it new shirt designs, or avmiss fix. That way, 1, you don't have to answer the same question a million times, and 2, it's not exactly wonderful hearing about something that was supposed to be released Easter week that we haven't had a word on the front page about why it was delayed.

OR... you could subscribe, and get the avmiss benefits now, and stop bitchin. K thanks bye.

Your right. and i must say i'm sorry for getting off-topic about what your trying to tell everyone. That the admins should give us a little news about the updates to keep us satisfied instead of being put in the dark and forgotten about. I kind of switched it up and discussed about why the avmiss wont be fixed, and that the admins evade our questions, and make excuses and distractions such as contests (sp0nt@n@eus contests btw), widgets, and what not.

So basically, we can end these huge arguements on the forums if the admins let us know about how its coming along. So it wouldn't turn into another "Wheres avmiss fix?!" thread. Because what goes on there is exactly as follows: Subscriber posts and says "Get a subscription n00b!". Public user says "Yeah! I don't understand why it isn't out yet!". and a mod says "The admins are working on it. Get off there backs.. *lock*".

With your idea MystictheHedgehog, there wouldn't be any of that. Would there?
