Its probably a good idea to make an alternate account, because with that not only can't you play multiplayer, but you can't have your own FFR profile either.

Those characters are not allowed in multiplayer because html code/ascii characters are disabled. They are disabled for users for many reasons. This will not be fixed. You will have to create an alt in order to access multiplayer. That is your only solution.

Yup...especially when the person with Greek letters and from people saying he can't have Greek letters to chat in MP, VC, and PC, (s)he continues to not get it and fight.

Those characters are not allowed in multiplayer because html code/ascii characters are disabled. They are disabled for users for many reasons. This will not be fixed. You will have to create an alt in order to access multiplayer. That is your only solution.

Thanks for your response. Should special characters be disabled when signing up for an account, also? It seems if their use disables large portions of the website that it would be more useful to remove them entirely.

It's been a discussion that we've had, in terms of special characters being disabled on username creation. In the end, we want people to be able to have whatever username they want.... just that certain "creative" names will cause those users to have issues on other parts of the site.

From the looks of things, you seem to have reached your crossroads early in your username history, so you shouldn't be TOO unwilling to re-create one with only standard characters to get full access to site content, instead of keeping the current one and having nerfed content.

I wasn't trying to ignore your issue and plainly badger you, I was just getting to the crux of the matter right off the bat in my original post. As you said, you understand the problem, as do I, but did you really need me to explain that?

I just figured it would be best to tell you what you could do at this point. Sorry if anything seemed unhelpful or rude, but it got kind of frustrating to have to tell you multiple times your only options.

Thanks, I'm glad that the issue has already been discussed and decided upon. I had been persisting because I suspected it might not have been.

For Christ's sake, are everyone but moderators always so hostile on here? So far everyone seems interested in nothing but berating me instead of taking the time to understand my concerns. Thanks again, though.
