FFR Wiki

I was randomly musing, and it struck me that a lot of the relevant information about FFR is found in the forums, where such threads may or may not be stickied, leading to people posting again and again with questions.

To rectify the problem, I propose the creation of an official FFR Wiki that could act as a repository for all of this information, and put an end to a few of the useless threads.

Just so you know, I've inserted a lot of subliminal messaging above that will make you all want to support this idea. Good luck trying to find it, though, I'm subtle like that.

Id support it, Although i mean i don't gather that the first thing a noob will do will be looking at the wiki but it could be a place where if asked we can link them the wiki and they can get the answers they are looking for whatever the questions might be.

Hmm...maybe we should. A lot of popular names has their own wiki nowadays (bemanistyle, Touhou, Halo, etc.), and I think we should have our own. Maybe post it in the FAQ section and/or an announcement/sticky.

I don't think there's enough info for an FFR wiki, A general music game wiki would be good though.

Just to let you know, I don't support this as a HELP wiki for noobs. More like information about the site itself (history, features, admin list, etc.). We have stickies and a forum section itself for noobs.

anyone can create one if they want to... i see it as something that if we did it official, we'd update it for a while, and then slowly stop updating it frequently.

i'm sure myself and the rest of the staff would be willing to provide insight and information for it, but as far as running it, it seems something best suited for a fan-site type thing.

i will further add.... i'd recommend having people run something like this who are well established in the community, with years of experience and knowledge. someone who is only been around for a month or two, while having good intentions, will likely not have enough knowledge or clout with the community to make something like this successful.

I know. I'm going to get well experienced members to help me manage it, and run it. They can put in the information


P.S. I have actually been playing FFR since 2003-2004. I just joined this year though :P

The wiki I made only allows members to edit information, and I let the members join manually. xD
