I was sitting in front of my comp, staring at the FFR screen, trying to decide on a song, like I do almost every morning for about a year now, and I get to thinking, "OMG, I'm getting SO TIRED of this... blue-ness!"
So, I came up with an idea that would change that for those of us who are getting tired of the existing FFR style. Customizable skins. This would basically change the fonts, pictures, and button arrangement up to as far as picking the song. Once the song you pick starts, it would look the same as it always has.
So, here's some pictures (all done in MSPaint, took quite a while) to help
explain it:
Note: The images are in PNG format for maximum quality, some people may experience slow loading.
This is what it would look like in the shop using the default skin:
Here's the sub-menu for FFR skins...
Here's a picture of selecting a song to bring up a purchase screen. Includes name, price, and a fancy looking preview
And here is FFR at the main screen, right after you buy a skin. I moved the credits display over to the left side to make room for the new button.
Here we see the skin select screen. Nice use of the old "secret code" thing, don't you think?
Here's a screen sample of the main page of "Aeronautica" skin. Now with 100% Photoshop goodness!
