Personally I like the idea. Tass says it will most likely be in 3rd style, but surely there will be people that just play the good ol' R1 while we're waiting the 10+ years for it.

I play 1.75, and I would play 2.0 or 2.5 (if we had it), but the arrows start to become slightly transparent when you bump above 1.75, which is a problem that isn't in SM. So go Mitch, like this. I could possibly go to 1.9 or 1.8 without the transparency.
And like concertm said, the combo gets in the way. I do a somewhat screencut with 1.75, and the combo is always there, and makes it hard to read arrows.
