i don't mess anything up. blaming me for issues with the limitations of flash is stupid. some are slightly off... and rebirth and i are working to fix them. it's a slow process.

Its really hard to tell how off a simfile is when the notes are early, but from one test it looks like its .007 - .013 seconds early. Probably worth a fix

            Re: Pretty Green Onions offset

anything under .01 isn't really worth the fix... if it's off by .01, in flash terms, that means that 2/3 of the arrows are correct and 1/3 are off by 1 frame (aprox... slightly different, but close enough).

and working in 30fps, it's nearly impossible to get it perfect... only if it's a bpm that is exactly divisible will it work out, such as 180 (and even then, it's only for 8th notes... 16th stream won't be perfect). it's an unfortunate drawback and limitation, and people don't tend to think about it. but that's the general reason why some are mysteriously off by very very little while others are off by slightly more. has nothing to do with someone screwing up or whatnot (in most cases).

so, yea, we do our best to fix things to the best of our ability. but it never will be perfect, not on 30fps. we're looking at ways to make 3rd style millisecond timing, which would eliminate this. even 60fps would lessen it, and 3rd style is guaranteed to be at least 60fps.

Hmm, I understand that. If it were me having to make all these fixes, I'd get discouraged knowing that a new system is going to come out where these things won't make much of a difference anymore. I would totally understand it if it meant you tend to put things off. I probably would too... which is bad, heheh, but understandable.

Thank you for the explanation, by the way, I am quite aware of the demons of framerate, and what you explained makes perfect sense.
