Make it so where you can have the Multiplayer Chat up at the bottom of the screen, even if you dont wanna play Multiplayer.

That way Lump can talk to us while he sucks it up for another 30,000 games

It would be nice but it's not necessary. Just leave your room when you wanna chat and make onw when you wanna play. Otherwise you have lots of people lagging up and flooding the room when you're trying to play.
