    Auto-fail... for combos?

    Title says it all. Would it be possible to implement an auto-fail for combos? For example, you want at least an 800 combo on a song. As soon as you can't get to 800 combo anymore during the song (meaning you missed one or more arrows), the song ends automatically. If you get 800 combo in that song but you miss an arrow after, you can still continue the song to maximize your score. If you miss one of the first arrows but still can get to 800 combo, the song continues. I think this would be useful for at least a few songs (songs with mini-jacks which I absolutely hate, in my case), so it becomes easier to get a better rank.

    Good idea or not? Is it possible?

      i think instead of to a combo, that we could type in a score to beat, whenever that score becomes impossible to get it fails. But the perf,good,average,miss,boo still should be there along with it.

          Jugglinguy: I'd rather not have to calculate the score I want to achieve. It's easier to find out the combo I want. My PA isn't too constant anyway

            I think the score thing would be cool, but not easy for it to calculate quickly after every single note in the song, to see if you'd failed. I'd rather just be able to type in a combo to fail at as soon as I get that combo.

              possible.... but much harder to do compared to the current auto-fail.

              and jugglinguy... not gonna happen.

                Better, its just; "If you hit the rest of the arrows as perfects and the score wouldn't be higher than your best Then autofail"

                  i see it as too much of a hassle. just keep playing and you'll get it eventually.
                  you see where you get the misses. but you don't see where you get the non-perfects, if you ss enough. so, just play.

                    setting ingame (where you type in how many you want to be able to get before you just fail). It's to much of a hassle. I would really like an auto fail button, that way I can restart a song if I'm doing bad or just want to restart or I can keep on going without worrying that I exceed the amount of misses & boos I allow myself to get on the

                      I think the system should let you fail the song if you get to a point where you cannot get an 800 combo by the end of it. That way you know where you have to improve on instead of calculating a score.

                        Well, the way I look at Autofail is that most players with decent PA and screencut can't see the accuracy that their arrow's been hit at, but they can tell when they miss.

                        I don't see a point in it.

                          If you screencut anywhere above the combo counter then it's almost impossible to see the arrows coming up and you must commit your ability to stepchart memory.

                            How about stop missing?

                            If you miss before you get your 800 combo or whatever, just fail the song, and hit retry, until you do hit 800, seems a hell of a lot easier that way.

                              Even if you screen cut above the combo, its pretty easy to tell if an arrow flies past the hollow arrows, therefore indicating a miss
