Flash randomly skips during gameplay.

I've been having this problem for a couple weeks now, and it's the main reason why I've switched to stepmania exclusively for the past few days, but I really want to play FFR again =/

At least 2 or 3 times during the song flash will pause for half a second making me miss all steps in that frame (ruining my combo and rhythm). I have a pentium 4 processor, and I've taken the necessary steps to ensure I have plenty of memory and CPU usage to do almost anything, though FFR refuses to run smoothly. Does anyone know what could cause flash to do this, or is this a problem on FFR's side?

A solution to nearly all bugs in FFR it seems like.
1. Use IE, not Firefox.
2. Clear your cache.

I've never heard of this problem before, so I'm guessing it's a problem on your side.

This is almost exclusively due to something on your side causing small CPU spikes, which in turn hurt the flash performance. It could be a variety of things. can you ctrl-alt-delete and keep the processes open while you play to see if something jumps up in CPU usage?

Actually it has happened on my computer too, and my brothers computer. It skips for a second making me miss the arrows in that frame...My friend and my brother have both tried switching to IE and clesring the cache right now...it doesn't help, and their computers are very fast.

I personally am a DDR and Stepmania player, it doesn't both me, maybe I wil start playing FFR when 3rd Style comes around.

I agree that this is more of a computer issue, this occasionally happens to me as well. Turning down the quality seems to help a bit.
