Vista+Flash=bad

I'm having lag issues on FFR on the computer I installed Vista on, and on 2 other vista computers. All of these computers are top of the line, and should display zero lag during play.

I've had this issue for over a week, but I felt it proper to report it now, as today is the official release day for vista.

Is anybody else having these issues?

Does anybody have a solution?

And yeah, Vista use a lot of your computer CPU, that's why it lags.

Vista just released today. As a computer student in college, I can safely say this:

ALL NEW OS's HAVE BUGS IN THEM.

That's why it's advisable to just wait on Vista for a while: you're always gonna find something wrong with them in the beginning, and the LAST thing you want to do is try playing FFR, and having it crash your computer or otherwise. If you're a teenager, your parents WILL HURT your wallet for doing that. If you're an adult, I pity the look on your face when you go to Best Buy or whatever, needing a new computer.

Either way, leave Vista and FFR an unmixed pair for a while. I'm sure Tass, Shash, Scott, and/or Synth are working their hardest.

One more tip: Install more RAM. You do that, and you have more room to work around the memory pig that is Vista.

Clearly nobody in this thread knew what they were talking about. My computer is perfectly capable of running windows vista with aeroglass turned on. It has plenty of ram, and I'm aware of how it works on my computer.

This is a compatibility issue with flash, not with my computer.
I've tested it on other computers running windows vista and run into the same problem. For some reason, flash just isn't completely up to par with windows vista yet.

Most games do not work on Vista. I read that Wild Tangent has spent well over a year, and half its team updating all their games to support Vista. Apparently it breaks 95% of online games.

And yeah, Vista use a lot of your computer CPU, that's why it lags.

Vista runs a lot faster and smoother on my computer than Windows XP ever has [and yes, using the full Aero interface with those amazing transparent windows]. I hate how everyone is putting Vista down for using up resources; it just happens to be the way technology advances. XP was a hog when it came out, now its relatively small and easy to run on todays hardware.

Currently we have not had much time to test specific things in Vista and Flash. We do have a build that seems to play things fine, but thats not very comprehensive yet.

Got some hardware specs, as simply getting vista to run isn't necessarily showing a powerhouse PC.

Sorry for the delay here.

Internet explorer seems to now run FFR and Flash alright. Firefox is still pretty dodgy though.

As for system specs:
Dual Core 2ghz processor
1gig ram
Nvidia GeForce 7400
(This is just my laptop)

I seem to have a lag problem on my vista computer as well. My system specs are:
dual core 2.3ghz processor
2gig ram
Nvidia GeForce 6100
Vista home premium
Might it be possible to PM me any suggestions to fix this? Ive tried and failed many times.

Wait for Adobe to make Flash work better on Vista :P

my vista works fine playing FFR not a bit of lag except when i have another game in the background
