Downloadable FFR

I know that the original FFR was downloadable. But I think maybe you should do it again. Reasons:

-It would allow the people that are complaining about dial up happy
-When the server goes down, we would still be able to play
-Sometimes we don't always have access to the internet. But if we don't, then we could stick FFR on our flashdrive or whatever and play it.

I don't know if it would be possible, but maybe you could have it so it records your stats, just like the online version does. But if this could be possibly implemented it would benefit a large part of the community. Maybe you could update it with new songs every few weeks or something.

Well I can sort of see why but that's what stepmania is for. Stepmania is less of a community than FFR (no MP, crappy forums, etc.) and that is why I like FFR more than Stepmania overall but downloaded I like Stepmania than FFR. And also what about the added songs? It would be annoying having to download the song every week. And about the dial up they are probobly in the future going to make a version for it.

I think Blazze has a point. Sure, SM is like FFR, but the songs on FFR are not released to the public.

if we released a downloadable version, it would be over 350mb... and you'd still have to be able to connect to the net if you wanted your scores to register or your stats to increase.

plus, it'd be constantly out of date, every time a new song was added.

Well people lag due to flash. If it were downloadable, there would be much less lag. And there could be an update button on the right or something and you would just click it and press open.

i agree with this cause you would only have to download the new songs if you want to. Or you could keep the ones u have and say who gives a !@#$ about a new song!
