Front Page Profile Images

My suggestion: Take profile images off the front page. Most of them look really gay. Also I don't like coming to FFR and seeing a wolf girl popping her boobs at me. It can be a lot worse than some of the ads.

Maybe less front-page publicity to the profiles would bring us better users, too. I don't remember mp lobby conversations like this springing up before profiles were introduced:


It used to be more spamming and asking who wants to play, not talking about cutting each others' wrists up. Also, it doesn't seem like many users used to post myspace pages into the mp lobby.

Hear him, Synth? He's got a good idea (But I doubt that less front page profile pics will stop the goths fom taking down MP lobby)(Speaking of MP, I still cant log in!).

I don't personally like the Lastest Updated Profiles... but I do say that it gives a LOT more popularity to see who just recently updated their profile. Whenever I update, I usually get a comment right away... maybe you can take out their avatars and just list usernames.

I understand what you guys are saying but I think you are missing the point and draw of profiles. We get an extra 40,000+ page views a day from profiles alone and they provide us with thousands upon thousands of inbound links from the search engines.

Provide an alternative that would generate as much traffic and inbound links and we can consider it.

and yeah.. the MP lobby had problems way before people posting myspace links and talking about pain. If you think that is bad, you should have seen it last year.

the upper eschelon of FFR Management has the ability to edit/delete profile stuff... and any forum mod or above can edit profile pic (since it is the same as their forum avatar).

also, Shash or myself can ban people from Profile Chat, if they are spamming.

Just don't make more profile images slots. The less emo kid pictures the better.
