i was finally reaching up to 2000 points and had 1949 points and decided to do the FF7 battle song to get 20 more points. I finish and get 19 points and when i return to the song selection screen i had 0 points !! !! 
might be a bug somewhere
edit/ I did get my points back by logging off my name and logging back on. I have my password saved so im always logged on btw if that will shed some light on the topic to check if there's something makeing the number register 0 just to scare the shit out of us
