Re: How to get better
dont listen! hold ur palms up if ur doing a faster song, keeping ur palms down will only prevent u from moving ur fingers faster. only the strong can do this not the weak.
FIGNER SUGGESTION
left hand-middle finger left aarow, pointer down arrow
right hand-middle finger right aarow, pointer up aarowComment

Re: How to get better
get stepmania and download the DDR and ITG packs, start with standard then when you are ready move to heavy, im still on standard but its helping a lot.
right now i put my left middle finger on D, my left index on F, and my right index on J and the right middle on K, i seem to like it a lot better, but im going to try index-ing the numpad later.
screen shrink and speeding up songs i can already ace helps as wellComment

Re: How to get better
yea go with starshots idea lol. i play onehanded and i can do gurus... (3 fingere onehanded) mad skill huh? but ive been playing for 5 months... so... weeeee? just play alot and use a hand setup that is comfortable and natural to you. that always works out the best.§ĦλđШŘλΐķĭřĩ™

Re: How to get better
well it takes lots of praactice but i am a one handed three finger player using the middle finger for up and down and the index on left and ring on right.
a trick is to rest your arm on a text book or something solid to prop it up and not slide on you this helps at first when your learning to press keys faster since your hand at resting just lightly touches the keys.
but ounce you build up finger strentgh another skill is to learn is to read the arrow patterns one way is to play songs like burnout or save me and life goes on these build up speed since they require lots of constant tapping. try to read them as they come down but i find in realy fast songs it helps to look closer at the arrow keys and only focus on whats just about to hit.
another tip i suggest is in songs that require fluttering which has constant notes like 'up down' repeated fast is to switch to 2 fingers moving the index and middle to the 2 notes such as index on up and middle on right / or middle on up index on down. im still learning to master this but
eventualy through after many games youll be able to beat songs like strange program and silence, and full combo just about all standard and lower and be able to do pretty good in songs like cia rave
ps it might help to change to down scroll its awkward at first but now its the only way i can play if im doing difficult or harder songs.
and for the streams a trick is with the middle finger is to slide it up and down the arrow keys since then it like only one press instead of 2
