AAA, but no rank 1?

I just AAA Trip to the Moon, but I got a rank 2. Apparently, someone got 40000 more points. How is this possible? Are there extra steps that I missed or what?

they hit the secret arrows, which is cheating. their score will be deleted sometime soon.

They're a form of cheating, so it's probably best if you don't know about them.
