FFR is not out to make a profit.

Therefore, there is no need to try to get more members. FFR gets a lot of people already from word of mouth or from people googling things like "online flash dance dance revolution" anyway. All more people joining would do is make the site cost more money to keep up. Really, it's better if not everyone knows about it.

Ok, there's nearly a million people that have joined FFR. I don't think this place really needs "advertising", rather FFR needs "donations".

Nearly a million yes, but I bet at least 1/4th if not about half of those nicknames are just clones of the same persons nick, (one person registering more then 1 nick, dur) I Know this, I got 3 nicks myself, this one and 2 more I usta use when this one got stuck in the ffr chat(old chat).

So the real numbers are quite somewhat lower.

Crap. I can't think of anymore.

But yeah, I have lots of accounts, but probably less than 5% of users have multiple accounts like me. It's sort of like the forums. Yeah, there are some of us who have 5k+ posts, but the vast majority of the forum members have 0 posts.

Well, I'd like to see the site expand, but I'm not the one paying for it. It doesn't seem like Synth is against the site expanding though, as he has purchased many upgrades to the site to accompany the increase in traffic.

I don't know why Synth doesn't add "Cash Shop" style section when 3rd Style is released. Something extra that doesn't affect overrall rank or skill, but either makes you look cool, unlocks something secret, around that sort.

The idea was thrown around a lot, but Synth says FFR will always be 100% free.

I think the general consensus was that the only way it could happen would be that donators to FFR could get early access to new songs (already happened-- people who bought shirts or stickers could play the song of the weeks before they were released publically) or maybe get credits for giving money. There will never be donator-access-only material though.

100% agreed, the best thing you can do for FFR is link to the game in your blog, myspace, xanga and other forums. Every little bit helps. I can tell you that 99% of what is said in this thread so far is speculation.
