New High Score Idea

In a later version of ffr, maybe there could be a lowest score rank.

I realize that not many people actually try this, but when you think about it, it can be HARDER than getting perfect on every single one, since to make the lowest score, you would have to get average on just about every other one. It will also keep track of your improvement of a song.

If you think about it, it's the same as a true/false test. To get a 0 on one, you have to know all the answers.

The lowest grade you can get legitly is -3100, so what would be the point in showing that off?

Is there a cap (floor I guess) at -3100?

Take for example "Trip to the Moon"
There are 143 arrows. Say you miss the first one, and hit every other one after it. That should be 71 hits and 72 misses, enough to complete the song. Now, if all those 71 hits are average, you will have a score something like this.

Perfect   0         0         0
Good      0         0         0
Average	71        355       3550
Miss      72        -720      -21600
Boo       0         0         0
Combo     1                   1000
Total     -17050

If I am wrong here, tell me, but I don't see any reason why this score is not possible. It isn't the lowest, but still its lower that -3100.

This is actually really hard to do, since one perfect actually negates a miss, and two hits in a row negates 3 misses. You still lose with a good, but it's very little.

Well here's a better idea, why not have a top scores for all the different ranks of people, that way if you suck compared to the pros, you can feel good knowing you are average/good compared to people of the same rank.

i like faven's idea. Like how about high scores for different difficulties because no one can make the top ten besides like maybe 30 guys on this site and they're like the only ones that ever do. Consistently it's bahamut ridder nima smitty and so on. I don't know how we would make it though so o well.

Nah, I'm just saying that being compared to people in your own rank would be better than being compared to people who can get scores five times better than your own in their sleep because they are senior members.

nahhh...i don't think it's such a good idea... a better idea would b 2 display more pplz multiplayer ranks. Instead of just displaying the Top 50, display the Top 100, or Top 500 or something like that... yea it's off topic, but when the topic is "Let's get the lowest rank" does it really matter?

i would like top 30. i make a lot of those. that'd be sweet. now my gradeus score and my hanabi and others would shine. At least i have some records in R2
