Multiple difficulties for a song

Add multiple difficulties for a song like ddr/itg hard/expert heavy/oni etc. Some of the easy songs could have really good more difficult steps and some of the hard ones could have good easier steps for other players.

Good suggestion, not enough people right now to make multiple versions of 116 songs.

doesn't have to be for every song... And it's fairly easy to make the sims :P

I agree with nima on this, it would be a good idea to have more difficulties in R1 :0) like for the new players and everything, and im pretty sure if this idea were to go through, alot of people would probably make sims

Ridder is right. I wouldn't mind making some newb versions of difficult songs.

And I'm sure there are many people who would be willing to redo some FFR classics, like Terror from Beyond or Secret Zombie Room.

This would probably have to wait for 3rd mix or whatever though. They'd have to implement a way of changing difficulties within a song.

Yes, I do like this suggestion very much.

It would give both, newbies and pros (and everyone in between) more options; thus making the game a little more enjoyable and less monotonous.

Although I would LOVE to see this happen, there's many songs I like and can't beat.

Yes, Terror from Beyond needs a new stepchart. >_< Some of the jumps (especially around the 400 mark in the 500-odd steps in there) look like 16ths, for God's sake. That's going to throw off a lot of people for whom that song is an appropriate challenge.

Let's see...there's 116 songs, so for 4 difficulty levels (beginner, light, standard and heavy...I'm not considering the possibility of the presence of an oni level, but the math is similar), that's 116x4=464 charts that would have to be made. However, each song already has one, so it's 116x3=348. Factor in the reality that Stay With Me and Ronda Alla Turca have two versions each, and the number of step charts that would have to be made is still an astonishing THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIX.

Now I know why there are so few songs in R2, at least.
