A chatroom is a place for chatting, not for spaming emotions... Thats why im sugguesting we do somthing about it. And mal, that button worked for me after like the 10th time i dont know why it didn't work before.

To agree with him is to say that you think the staff should do something about it (which they can't) otherwise you wouldn't have even posted.

Either way, it's unneeded since what Mal said is a PERECT fix. It allows for people who want to see large annoying emoticons to be able to see it and it allows for those who don't want to see it to not see it. If emoticons were removed somehow lots of people would make threads about not being able to spam emoticons anymore.

PS You got a lot of balls coming in here harrassing a regular when you're such a newb. I can't decide whether that's a good thing or not though.

      PPS Learn to type properly.
ok just cause i agreed with him does not mean im telling ffr they should take off emoticons if i really cared that much i wouldnt be talking to you i just know a good suggestion when i see one and i just wanted to give my input this is a forumn where your supouse to talk about things like that and what you think about ffr since this is the ffr suggestion thing and perfect typing isnt ever required thats why they have emoticons in the first place besides you probably suck at ffr anyway
      malreynolds sucks at ffr

He does have a good Point afrobean...Besides look at the Poll results...Seems other people seem to agree with us that it would be a good idea to get rid of emotions if we could.

It's not a simple removal. A lot of things are tied into the emoticons, and it's a lot easier to just check that box than for us to bug the programmers to remove the feature just for us.

I am the one member that voted not to remove them. The rest of you? Communists.

"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."

"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor

            My new novel:

            Maledictions: The Offering.

            Now in Paperback!

              Sorry. I forgot to vote.

I voted now though. Not that it matters anyway, since this isn't a democracy or something.

perhaps the chatroom would have less downtime if un neccesary things were eliminated. though emoticons are used rarely, i think it would help. of course you can uncheck the box, but the other 50 people dont and that causes stress im sure.

as for the 'programmers' and such--why would it be a hassle for them? isnt programming things like removing emoticons or making new ones part of their jobs? what else are they there for?

what am i paying you people for? down chatroom time??

Synthlight said "As always, we use 100% of the profits to pay for our ever growing FFR server costs and further the development of the game. I never personally profit from any of this." How do you know if he is not paying somthing? By the way, If you Havn't voted for the poll on the emotions. Please do.

This poll is totally useless. Contrary to what hedgiemaster says, this is not a democracy. The staff has complete control over everything.

As for Mr Rogers (insert underscores and toggle type where it applies), I only have one thing to say: FFR did not make the chat software. They have nothing to do with it. Therefore, they cannot make changes to the code of it.

If anyone else has a problem with the emoticons and isn't willing to simply turn them off like a sane person, just hop on FFR multiplayer. No emoticons there at all.

Well maybe they should make a multiplayer chatroom with the only features being the chat, microphone, and webcam...

another great idea phathomeslice a chat room like that would truley be a great one
another good thing would be to not allow people that use capitols and periods for every thing they type
and then we wouldnt have to pay people for down chat time
                              malreynolds sucks at ffr
