custome FFR finger board???

When i started playing this game last month i wanted to take a keyboard and move the keys to a finger pad that would have the arrows in the order that was at the top of the screen (L,D,U,R)

I was wondering if anyone here had the same idea or even made this project

Wasn't Synth planning a DDR style dance pad for playing FFR that you would use your hands on? I think that would be novel. Definitely fun for a while... like switching playing styles, or playing onehanded with lefty. Change is always fun for a while.

It'd get old fast though probably.

@Afro: If I recall, someone linked to the one they had made on red octane, and Synth said he had the same idea. I've played on one of these, and they are horrible... always slipping and the keys don't press well... if that made any sense

87x was planning to make one using Bike Reflectors, but couldn't decide if he wanted them in a line or in a diamond shape.

well if i were to build one i would use a computer keyboard but use something like the Z,X,C, and V keys but have them programed to the arrow keys.

Im no good at programming but i am great at electronics

just open it up, remove the wires attached to the arrow keys, and solder them to the sensor under the z, x, c, and v keys.

i just do 4-fingers split across leftarrow downarrow numpad8 and numpad6. if u want it to be a diamond, just use the numpad. Perhaps i don't quite get what it is you want... are u specifically after a separate board from your keyboard, or do u juat want to use a more comfortable setup? I guess the only thing my method doesn't solve is being able to play 1 hand, 4 fingers, straight line. that needs a new board i guess.
