Restep the old songs?

I got a chance(?) to play some old songs in ffr... Songs are pretty cool, but the step is just =/ Would it possible to send the mp3 to several people and have them to restep those? I'm willing to help too =p...

I might go through and re-sync all the old songs, but it's doubtful they will be resteped (With the exception of chrono trigger)

Well I'm refering to the very very beta song in ffr. Like terror from beyond, sunshine girl or whatever and those hiphop song. They're not even perfectly onbeat. When those beginner must-play songs are so bad people would think "oh this game sucks" or something like that. It would only take a few minute to restep too because it's not going to have tons of arrows... So?...

When you're at that stage simfile quality isn't much of a concern to you.

Most of the people that I try to get to play this game are usually thrown off by the fact that when they hit the arrow right on the beat of the song, they usually get Good/Average, and never perfect.

The actual patterns wouldn't be changed on the older songs, but rather their sync'ing

I can't even FC terror from beyond
so I guess I'm at that stage too
but I HATE HATE the stepfile and I will never EVER play it because it has gallops that look like jumps which not only make my timing bad because I hit them as jumps, they are also mode FLAT which makes me fail to realize the difference when I'm playing


I vote restep all old stepfiles, make them NOTE and on-sync

I don't even play off-sync files...
which is like half of FFR
new files are good though

Yea I vote a reupload, resync of all the files with the note skin. Plus a fixing of what iopq mentioned: the jumps that are gallops.. like in Terror From Beyond, Get on the Move, etc.

The very first songs on FFR like sunshine girl or terror from beyond where not even made with a stepfile editor. They were literally made with a flash based keystroke recorder at a time when I could barely pass what I had just tapped out on the keyboard.

I would be willing to have them restepped as long as the actual steps don't change.

It's funny that your skill still hasn't improved since then. XD

That would be great if they were all restepped, with the same steps, and resynced. It kind of needs to be done in order to tweak FFR to its best.
