Hey guys. I have made way too many mistakes in FFR by accidentally hitting a key or by holding down one key for long. I think this happens to others (at least I hope it's not just me). Then when I play StepMania, I kick butt. I think FFR should improve its key detection methods. Also, I think there should be freeze arrows(not that I like 'em or anything, just a suggestion). What do you guys think? Vote on the poll and sound off!

Jepwin - Have you tried playing madblast or traces on sm. They're pretty hard. Even if the arrow keys were distanced and one could use 2 hands, it would still be hard. FFR has songs just like that so I don't really see how it could be easier.... I don't know, just a suggestion. By the way, how do you put up your own personal picture for your "avatar"? By the way, I am a Hindu and avatar is used very wrongly here. If wrongly is a word....Comment

Look it up.
It is usually in a religious sense...but it actually means something that represents something.

That's in the english dictionary man, but look for the hindu meaning. It means a direct form of God. Like Krishna and Shiva are avatars. Ok, you know wat, i'll stop arguing about this. Anyways, how do you get your own personal picture as the avatar?Comment

I don't care one way or the other about freeze arrows. However I doubt the game would be any easier if the detection was changed so if you hit a random arrow to miss it didn't do that anymore. Especially since in the scenario of "you hit right instead of left", wouldn't that make you get two misses? One for hitting the wrong arrow and another for missing the arrow itself? Should definately be changed.Comment

The miss system should really be changed. You should get only one miss if you hit the wrong arrow at the right time. Freeze arrows are cool, though.Comment

errrmm... dude? Avatar means the incarnation of a god on earth. And Shiva and Krishna are not avatars, they are gods. Only their corporeal bodies are avatars. And the term "avatar" was adopted as slang and its not supposed to be in context. I know that issue had ended, but i just wanted to put in my two cents *^_^*
I think the "miss" system is fine the way it is, pretty much. if you press a wrong arrow, you can sometimes recover to hit the correct one in time... otherwise you lose a point. trying to correct it would most likely make things overly complicated. I like the idea of freeze arrows very much though

If you want to get technical, avatar is derived from sanskirt (language of india) so first and foremost, it would mean incarnation of god.
However, we're speaking English. And in English, avatar merely means a represention of something, whether it be godly or human or a characteristic.
