    Authors Permission Letter

We need a few people to write out an Authors Permission Letter. This letter will be done with all of the facts and info we need to put into a letter to give to an author.

Someone with good Writing experience should be able to accomplish this. Once it is done we all can take a look at it in here and add changes and etc to it to be the perfect Permission Letter. Once it is in complete Perfection we can save it and use that as any Permission letter to any Author we want.

    We already have one.

And let me ask you this. What looks more official? [email protected], or an official @flashflashrevolution.com address.

      The official address.

But you guys do always say we need permission before asking for songs. Mind sharing the Letter with us?

        RE: Authors Permission Letter

I wanted to elaborate a little more, as I didn't have time this morning.

I think it would be better if we contacted the musicians ourselves (Chardish and I). The reason being is that it looks a lot better to them if it is coming from Site Admins, rather than just some random user. Also, we are more able to answer their questions.

As for the letter, it isn't just the same one we send to everyone. We write each letter unique, it contains information relevent to the artist, and how we found them, ect.

If there is someone you would like us to ask for permission, we would absolutly do so. Chardish is awesome at writing request emails, and he would certainly be up for the challenge.

Will someone ask Outphase for the rights to Quasar already? Oh and also ask whoever made the song Brace Yourself, for permission too.

Outphase is dj Taka and TaQ doing joint work. There's no way in hell we'd get permission from both of them AND Konami to let us use the song for free, much less at all.
I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.

But since Quasar is their original work, shouldn't they have the say of what happens to thier music? The only way this can't be possible is if Taka and TaQ signed exclusive rights that Konami can only have, and cannot be used anywhere else. That sounds like a stretch but it could be possible.

Judging from Banya and Andamiro, I'm willing to bet they did exactly that.

Well when an artist signs to a label, the label in turn sort of "owns" the artist. The song is made by the artist, the artist sells to the label and then the label produces/distributes the music. So, yeah, we have to go through both the artist and the label.
