My question was never answered when I first made this topic, and I contacted a staff member before and after. Now I would like to hear the communities view. I am not lambasting any staff member in this topic.

I think he just overuses his powers some. If he calmed down a bit, I really wouldn't mind him being a mod that much.

I want to hear other's opinions on Tass's mod position.

People that play FFR have met me in real life.

Synth was telling me about two kids he met in a Comp USA that played FFR.

Did we make them mods.

I think that Tasselfoot is a good mod. Although he's a bit harsh, and may post-whore a bit, he still knows what needs to get done.

1. me meeting Spook means nothing for me getting modded except that when i approached Synth about becoming a mod, Synth was able to ask Spook, "Spook... is Tass a responsible, mature guy?" apart from that, it is meaningless

2. i don't get why you are all of a sudden jumping on me about being a mod. i've been a mod for almost 2 months now. and if anything, i haven't been doing my job at all the past week. i was home for thanksgiving enjoying my time with my girlfriend.

3. me being a mod has nothing to do with people liking me or their posting. those quotes are from Ecliple and Justaguy, who are friends with each other so have the same opinion. and, they happen to break the rules alot so get their posts/threads edited/deleted/locked. its no wonder they don't like me.

4. the only person who actually gave a reason is Eric, and to answer that... i don't use my powers that much. if something needs to be moved, i move it. if something needs to be locked, i lock it. so do LD and Chardish and every other mod/admin if they are the first to see the topic. i just happen to be on the boards the most, so i see the topics first.

5. using my powers is up to me. none of the mods/admins have had any issues with me over-using my powers, and they are the only ones whose opinions i care about. i only answered this thread because hopefully it will shut you up about it. if you have an issue with me, talk to me about it.

6. LD asked me to lock this after i finished replying, so that is what i'll be doing.

for anyone who has an issue with my use of my moderator powers... contact me about it. i have no problems speaking to anyone about the forums.


EDIT: to respond to Cypher... 1. if i wasn't harsh, immature antics would run rampant on the boards. 2. i don't postwhore at all. the only semi-postwhoring posts i make are in the 1-word war. i've almost completely stopped posting in the g-bin, and every post i make outside the "OTHER" grouping is beneficial to the thead its being made in.


EDIT2: oh yea... i was already on the staff for months before i became a mod, as league coordinator. and LD can testify to the fact that i practically ran FFR League 2 by myself. finally, the MAIN reason i was made a mod is that i'm active during the hours of 10am-3pm and 1am-3am, when most of the users/mods of ffr are at school or asleep and unable to be moderating the forums consistently.
