    BackGrounds on some levels....

ok first of all some levels have the most messed up backgrounds...for instance.. Legend of Zelda..right half of the time i have to guess which arrows are coming up by looking at the bottom and then trying to see them in that screwed up backgroound...could you make the zelda background have 1 background and switch ..but stay in 1 spot instead of flyin and flashing all over..hurts my eyes..ruins my good combos...

Though the idea to not have complex backgrounds (for slow machines) is a good one, it's part of the game to not have a completely clear uninterrupted view of the arrows. Plus, I have no problem with it.

yeamost people dont but for the people who do the background should be like mario's just sitting there the whole time with the main zelda screen then fade into a action one and so on...not flying by and flashing like i previously mentioned because sometimes you get can really distracted at times...especially when the song is almost done it starts flashing and i get lost a bit but make it to the yoshi level...

I say just change it to a huge picture of Link or a wallpaper...

The problem with the Zelda background is contrast. The yellows, browns, and greens of those moving background images clash with the blue and green of the moving arrows.

Examples of good backgrounds are "Salad for your Tuesday" and "Dendrite." Neither of these clash with the arrows, and they allow you to see the arrows quite clearly.

"Final Fantasy 7" has a nice background, too - it's kind of soft on the eyes. (Do not take this in a perverse connotation)

....Oh, well. Live with it. You have never played Chakrila's Flight of the Bumblebee, obviously.

N64 and GC Zeldas are phenomenal.
Sorry if you can't get past the 3D feel, or the animated look

The N64 version of link was IMO the best, and the windwalker version the worst.

You should have seen the first version of the background of SFYT. Retina burning fun.

you think playing with a background that obscures the arrows is messed up? try playing in 16 colors (instead of the normal millions). it makes any stage much more challenging--unless you have them memorized, of course. all you can see are dark blue blobs that move around the screen...fun.
Mediocrity takes a lot less time and most people won\'t notice the difference until it\'s too late. --despair.com/
