All bugs in FFR I know of

I know a heck of a lot of bugs in FFR. I know some are probably already posted, but I'll include them anyway. I'm running MSIE on Windows.

    1. Sometimes (rarely) when you get a borderline good, the arrow stays there, and then it goes off the screen and says MISSED!

    2. There are hidden arrows. I've randomly pushed keys in Activity Unbroken and gotten a good and an average before any arrows showed up, but I'll try never to accidently trigger these again.

    3. On Ball of Malt, it says my high score is 0, my best rank 14288, Score % of record holder infinity%, and the top ten scores won't show.

    4. When I complete Party 4u, then click "Try this song again," it goes in slow motion with no sound. It quite often speeds up and slows down, but never reaches the original speed.

    5. Challenges never expire.

    6. There are impossible high scores on many levels, I think any high score over the best possible amount or not divisible by 5 (e.g. 999999) should be deleted.

    7. The smallest bug ever, but I have so many credits it doesn't fit in the box so it's hard to tell how many I have.

    8. In every genre, it says, "There are # songs in this genre."

    9. Not really a bug, but it says you can post challenges on the Brag Board, but then later, under challenges challenges, it says it's the one and only place to post challenges.

    10. The difficulties are inaccurate, HELLBEAT is not harder than Stalled Out and Sushi Bars or NeoMAX, and it is a hell of a lot harder than The Essential, which I've FCed.

***edited*** 11. You can't tranfer credits.

That's all I can think of at the moment. If all these are fixed, FFR would be a total blast.

I had the same thing with #1, good arrows turning into misses, but wasn't sure if it was a bug or just me, I really did miss and the program was wrong to call it a good. The invisible/secret arrows of #2 are apparently fairly well known. It's one of the main reasons you can get a perfect combo and still not have the highest score on that level. I played Ball of Malt like once and noticed that my high score for it according to the stats sig is 0. I wondered why, maybe my first game didn't register properly or something, but apparently it's a bug. No clue on #4, I haven't bought Party4u. I believe #5, non-expiring challenges, is well known and should be fixed in a future release. #6 = hackers. It's been suggested before that any score above the actual max be rejected, but this is almost always countered with "but then the hackers will give themselves the real max and you won't be able to tell who's hacking". I think increased security to prevent hacking is planned for a future release. #7 -- I don't have that many credits so I wouldn't know. I noticed #8, too, and sort of wondered about it, but didn't think enough of it to report it as a bug. I don't remember seeing anything about challenges being OK in the brag board (#9). Maybe it's allowed, but not encouraged. From what I've read, it seems that many people agree on song difficulties being incorrect (#10). There's a good thread by chardish I believe titled something like For the Love of the Game v2 in the general (?) forum with a new system of grading song difficulty. From the replies I read there, it looks like many people agree that this list is more accurate so perhaps it's being considered as part of a future upgrade. For now though, I think you'll just have to copy/check that list at least until you get your own feel for the difficulty of the games (something I as a newer player don't have). Good list though. Some are known, but some may not have been reported before.

Essentially retired now, but still ranked on the list of FFR's Top One Handers.

So I made a typo, I meant to say HELLBEAT is harder, not is not harder, okay? And if all of these bugs are known, why aren't any of them fixed?

It takes time to fix stuff especially since Synth has other non-ffr stuff to do...

R2 will fix alot of things that are not great in the first one including the glitched arrows...

Why would you make a post about all the bugs that have been listed before...

I didn't know all of these bugs had been listed before, and I think I may have found another. I thought that for every 50000 points you got, you earned a credit. But according to this, I would have had 25 credits, but in the picture you can see I only got 24. If you divide my score by 50000 you get 25 and some decimal. I don't care much about 1 credit, but if someone scored over 2,000,000 then would they still only get 24 credits?

I just read on another topic that Tasselfoot says you can earn up to 25 credits if you get 1,250,000 points, which I did, and I didn't get 25 credits, so something isn't quite right. Also, now that I know how to tell when posts were, I'll stop reviving really old topics.

Credits arn't just based on your score.

You can earn 25 credits if you can get more than 1.5 million points.
and even if you can get over 2 mil points, you can only earn 25 credits.

This is a kind of maximum limitation of the credits you can get in one time, not a bug.

I think I've found another bug that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere else. Look at the picture below. Do you really expect me to believe that Mac/PPC has over 5000000 and is hardly a higher percent than BeOS with only 4? And AIX is only 2 and it has over 1%, when it should be about .000001%. And then IRIX has 23 and is between the percents of the 2 and the 4. This was found in stats, and I admit it doesn't really matter to much.
