Another thought along those lines -- would it also be possible to give the date of the next expected update? Or are they too irregular to predict?

I hope by November you mean something about an update to the game? Because I was talking about the user rankings. I'd like to have a working stats sig one of these days. And even if someone has to manually go in and run a program to sort the stats and calculate ranks, I'd hope it could be done on a fairly regular basis.
But I was just reminded of another thing that I know has come up among new players like myself -- why do we have an overall rank of 1? We're obviously not 1st place. I've been told it's just used as a place holder because we're unranked. OK, fine. But would it be possible to make that place holder value something else to avoid confusion with actually being ranked 1st? I think I'd prefer 0 which is suggestive of no rank at all, but you could make it something huge like 999999 or anything beyond the number of actually ranked players. Or leave it blank if possilbe or even make it N/A if you can use letters instead of numbers in there. Just another thought. Since it has come up a few times already in the short time I've been here (once by myself), it might be worth considering changing that default no rank value to something a bit less confusing.
