I have no idea who makes these decisions otherwise I would try to contact them directly.
The forum doesn't really need much moderation but we need another person to give keycard access and to sticky/unsticky threads as A2P isn't always around much.
I have discussed this with A2P and he doesn't mind/feel upset about having another moderator.
It's very hard to get the attention of the admins for TGB because it is kind've the grotesque image in your vision's periphery that you try not to look at, but if you consider that you gave the current moderator control based simply on a silly contest I don't think this is a decision that should require a whole lot of deliberation. Just any active poster would be fine. We've all been posting together for a decade in our shitty little subforum (which is the most active subforum next to TWG) and would like to be able to exercise a little more control.
here is a list of active posters who would probably do a good job moderating that people in TGB generally like and would not have drama with:
me (very invested in my tiny subforum)
cetaka
Pokelda
DarkManticoreX2 (is a mod)
omeganitros (used to be a mod)
danceguy117 (literally the most liked person on FFR)
wayward vagabond
mrpopadopalis (sleeper pick here but would be fun)
