That's exactly what I am saying: Not that just any random person (Like myself) should contact him, but at least someone from his time (lol, that makes people sound super old) should at least do so to make him awares that his... hording of the site is causing some serious problems and blocking any progress and growth for the site. He really just needs to view this thread.

if he still lives at his current address i live pretty close to him. about 30 mins. but there is no way im just going to show up at his house.

its best to have a current admin try to make contact with him even though i know none of the admins have really been able to get ahold of him..

The fact this thread is urging a matter on something that's been unsolved on for years and have worned out those involved is something to consider. You might get taken aback by the realization that this isn't going to get solved tomorrow. Why not settle first on what is to be discussed with Synthlight? What are you even going to say to him if you get a hold of his attention? What we really need is a report regarding FFR's current server state and the contingency of a crash before coming to conclusions.

Closest I have, I guess. His Linkdin says he still works for Wiredtree and they show him as an important employee there, irrespective of the lack of paragraph under his name. You'd think if he were deceased, they would have filled that position and updated the website. And the company is still maintaining an active facebook page. As I'm writing this they have a post from five hours ago. Though their press releases are pretty abysmal.
