It's just really demoralizing to sit around knowing the only proposed action that will get us anywhere is "find Synth" and nobody has been able to find Synth.
If people don't feel like leaving and want to continue to use this website, I'd imagine you guys would have to make separate domains to host content. We can already play files others have made on different domains via thanks to awesome arc using the game from this domain. Why not just move said content just like that and rewrite code so your stats and everything will still remain intact and recorded?
...I feel like someone already suggested that some time ago, but eehh... throwing it out there.
Also, if the forums are a big part of the space issue, move the forum... to a different domain. I mean I can see no other way.
But my suggestion is only if you guys can't persuade Synthlight to do SOMETHING for the website.
I still think this is the way to go if Synth won't cooperate.

Certainly possible, made a hell of a lot easier if access to the database was given.
Only problem really, that would be tedious/need to be done manually would be "reseting" the passwords for users, if access to the database was not available. As scraping the information for accounts would not give you their email address so, you would have to enable accounts manually for people which would get old fast. Well the scraping would be tedious as fuck too but the password settings would be more of a blag
But even then you would need an engine to actually play on, it's all good and well scraping the website but it needs a smarter mind than mine to scrape the engine.
Dossar reached critical mass after the 9th Official and ascended to a being of pure Stepmanian energy.
You won't be seeing him in any more competitions as he has already joined his life force with the arrows.
In our hearts, every competitor is Dossar now. that or I'm guessing he's busy in school and doesn't want distractions.
If someone wants to hit me up with some formal contact info for Synth, I may as well give it a shot. I've interacted with Synth on numerous occasions throughout the years on FFR.
I helped with a Flash project idea back in the widget days for promoting FFR. I met/spoke with him at the 2nd official FFR convention. I've been around the old administration he worked close with both in person and through the website to the point where all of them could trust me. I played some Halo 2 with him lmao. Point is, he'll remember me and maybe for some weird reason he'll give me the time of day even though he's ignoring the admin folks. I've had to get in touch with him on and off about random FFR things going on in the past and it wasn't difficult as far as I can remember.
It might be somewhat worthwhile that I'm within driving distance of him and I can at least propose the idea of a meeting in person to show we're all serious. I personally don't think it is necessary but I'd do it, perhaps as some form of networking. The idea is more for the principle behind all of this.
Sounds kind of hopeless if he's not talking to his own staff here but I've always liked this place a lot. I want to try.
I'll be writing something up with Fission, if you/anyone wants to contribute hit me up via skype
OR ~ If anyone can think of something more appropriate, perhaps a petition? Let's discuss that.
