So I was wondering about what stepfiles could be done and there are some that I though would be nice.

-Piano Etude {Demon Fire}[standard] : this is just so that I can play with out all of the fast notes

-Death Piano V2 = A variation on this song would be nice.

-Excite bike V2 = A harder version would be nice but not so much needed

-Blooddrunk [oni] = An 85 plus difficulty version

-circus gallop = Nice song for a 70 plus difficulty

-more rainbowdragoneyes songs

Change i'd like to see to legacy genre
-adding death piano
-adding excite bike
-adding crowdpleaser
-adding vertex beta
-adding fette's vette

general change suggestions
-more "secret" songs
-a Max-combo setting for autofail
-having a auto reset option
-update to the spin it up engine (like how r3 was for the FFR main game)
- a voting system for users to choose what songs are in game. ( so we don't have any whimper wall incodents)[p.s. maybe this could be done after the stepfile judging]
-FFR video tutorial for beginners
- old site layout ( Maybe an option to choose layout )
- texture modding support ( like custom note skins
- designated chat page ( video or text )
- spin it up being a part of r2

More files/songs: Step them yourself. Circus Galop would easily make a 97+ file, making a difficulty 70-80 file would be ignoring most instruments in the file and won't be a good representation of it whatsoever.

Genres
Legacy: Legacy is used for files that are very old (I'm not too sure when) and all of the files you've mentioned don't fit the criteria at all.
Secret: We're already adding files into the Secret genre.

Suggestions
Autofail: I thought there was already a function like that?
Auto-Reset: Why?
SIU: Spin It Up is already dead and probably will be for a very long time. People have tried to revive the project, but nothing significant has been done to it.
Voting System: Absolutely not. Some people are selected as judges for a reason.
FFR Video Tutorial: Game is pretty self-explanatory... I don't see a point of it. They used to have a guide though.
Layout: That could be a good idea... but I don't see the point of it.
Texture Modding Support: You're allowed to give suggestions for new noteskins.
Designated chat page: Profile chat and vidchat.

@ legacy stuff, no: it's reserved for pretty much all blue note syndrome stuff. It seems like you chose random songs you knew that were either hard, or you think were old, to legacy?

@ rainbowdragoneyes, get people to step, or step yourself.

@circus gallop = don't be naive, this would easily take 95+

there's a thread for in game features. For song suggestions, it's all about getting files accepted.

- no because it alienates people that don't have credits and less people are going to be able to play them

- it's pretty ignorant to just say "update it" when you have no idea how much work it takes. much easier said than done.
- explain the "whimper wall" incident because i'm pretty sure you don't know what you're talking about. btw, a vote like this is basically insinuating the simfile judges don't know what they are doing (you're wrong) and undermines their judgement that is more qualified than the general ffr populace.
- ....you tap arrows as they scroll up to the receptors. why does this need a video tutorial?
- revamped website design is already said to be in the works
- i would like to see this too, but it's probably a lot of work to allow a flash application to be customizable to this extent
- prochat for text and vidchat for video already exist

tl;dr you need to learn how ffr works before you make a thread like this

I'm talking about songs like Story of Snowman and Sunshine Girl that are obviously stepped improperly and don't fit into the current FFR regulations that judges pour time into to ensure we don't get files like.

i also think crappy stuff shouldn't be kept for historical reasons, this is not the motherfucking uffizi. if i made a little game and it got big over the years i wouldn't mind that people improved from my initial take.

okay maybe not that far. FFR aint dying because of it. but if we got rid of those files, the average quality of files on FFR would seriously soar.

lol the legacy songs dont need to be ripped out of the game. Theirs really no need to, accept for the fact that people cant do well on them so they want them gone. How about Death Piano and Rato go too?
