    Not sure but...

FFR has been acting really strange for me.
I went like about a day without being able to connect until I finally manually typed out the url http://www.flashflashrevolution.com
Now I can connect perfectly fine, but I can't even connect to FFR's engine now. (R^2 is what I currently use).

    Re: Not sure but...

I was talking to someone earlier, she said the site would load only half the time.

      Re: Not sure but...

I have to clear my cache, and then manually type the URL just to visit lol.
After last night, when the server went down, it's just been acting weird.

Edit: cleared my cache again for the 516749842th time, and now the engine loads.

There are still people that are having all sorts of issues trying to use FFR -- kjwkjw apparently saw this:

[2:03:34 AM] kjwkjw: Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address. To contact the administrator click here
        [2:03:37 AM] kjwkjw: ?_?
he was able to browse shortly after though. DNS issues?

It's definitely DNS. I even tried to tracert FFR, and I couldn't even do it.

Edit: Just tried tracerting again after I reset my modem again, and cleared cache.

Having issues here too. Every 10 minutes or so the site stops connecting then i have to wait for 30 minutes.

              Restart your computer.

This was some type of 'serious' dns fail. Synthlight fixed it, and the fix should propegate through all of the redirection hubs around the world within 24 hours. If you want to remove the hassel of DNS issues, and reduce traceroute distance, try OpenDNS.

Yeah sorry, I tried that a few times. Doesn't seem to accomplish anything.

                  Re: Not sure but...

Tried using OpenDNS it failed again when I tried to connect.
The only method that has been working for me is this.
                  Clear Cache
Then I'll type - https://www.flashflashrevolution.com. Google Chrome won't load that. And then after I remove the "s" then the website will finally load.

                    Re: Not sure but...

Well, for starters, FFR doesn't have an SSL cert so you'll never be able to connect using https.

If all of these problems haven't resolved themselves by tomorrow morning I will contact Synthlight again and see if he can do something more about the issue. Otherwise, the fix should propegate fully by noon.

Apologies for the struggle you're having trying to connect to the site properly, but no one except synth has access to the actual DNS ffr connects to. We will make sure the site is working tomorrow.

ipconfig /flushdns might help too if a restart doesn't help or a temp folder clean up.
