Friend Request button not showing up

So, I made this new account (formally Cold Kitten) and had my vet status transferred over. For some reason, my friend request button isn't showing up on my profile, even though I don't have them turned off.

I tried turning them off and then back on, no luck. Also had someone view my profile in different browsers, to see if maybe it was a browser display issue. Apparently, it's not. However, even though the button won't show up on my profile, it's still in the source code of the page itself, so it doesn't make sense as to why it won't show up.

Any ideas/suggestions?

There used to be a clear "Add a friend" button but then it got changed to that icon and now it's a tad bit confusing sometimes.

You do know that you cannot see your own friend request icon or block icon right? Just like you cannot see the friend request icons of those whom you've already befriended.

Yes, I know I can't see my own button.

Apparently, only a few people can't see it? ?_? bmah couldn't see it when he looked for it and neither could TheThong, so. uh. yeah.

Also, yeah - I haven't been able to see that button on a few people's profiles... weird.

You've never blocked either of them ever right? I know that makes it disappear.

Wasn't there an option to block incoming requests which removed that button, which made it necessary for the user who would intially have been befriended to send the invite to the would be inviter.... Sorry for nonsensicality 28 hours awake, Psycho I believe it may however be visible for you due to you being a mod. Idk though.

Edit: Nvm I'm still living in the text display days of merryment for friend adding... I don't like that button.
