    Daily Challenge

    Might seem quite a longshot, but in many games (usually MMO's) they try to get people to comeback and play the game everyday by incorporating a daily challenge system. Halo: Reach's challenge system is a perfect example of what I'm talking about: >>>Here<<<. By setting a goal replacing "Kills " with "GT" and "Medals" with "Raw Score" people will be more influenced to play the game more often.

    Perhaps explain what this challenge system is. (Your link is broken or at least returned errors when I tried it)

    Do you mean, say, some specific score/etc to get on a specific chart for one day, something else another/etc... and if you meet the challenge you get extra credits?

    That would be neat but would be incredibly time-consuming on the staff I would assume.

    For example, get exactly 4 goods on <specific chart>, the rest perfects, FC, and get x amount of credits. Then the next day, rainbow flag <specific chart> and get x amount of credits, etc...

    I just think that would get too difficult for reasonably maintaining is all.

      Not to mention that eventually we'd run out of reasonable ideas for daily challenges for various skill levels. Besides, don't we have skill tokens for this sort of thing?

      Granted, I'll take any excuse to reduce the amount of begging for credits, but I don't care too much for this one.

        Well I think it might help get people more active, but most of the time a system can be easily abused, unless it's just GT. FC's or AAA's, you can just whore excite bike (lol). I like the idea but it sounds like it would be too much to program to avoid abuse. Maybe, the player can get a one time bonus for playing the song of the week on the daily stats page.

        Now as for GT milestones, you already did a lot of credits for whoring a lot of GT, the only bonus being slightly more credits seems kind of moot.

        At the core of the idea though, I like the intention of making the community more active. Maybe we can work something in that wont be abused.

          The main problem with daily challenges in this game is that the skill range between worst and best is HUGE. In say Bloons Tower Defense 5 which has daily challenges, the skill ceiling is relatively low (a few elements are action/timing based but mostly the game just expects you to pick and place towers well), there aren't super pro players that need to be considered and if you're really bad you can use agents and premiums to still get past them.

          Also, the things that would be most fun and quickest to set up for daily challenges - enforcing certain ways of playing the chart, e.g. with certain fingers/one hand/certain keys/whatever - would be impossible to automatically enforce. It'd be fun to have an unofficial daily challenge thread though, where every day you have to play $songs[random_index] with $playing_methods[random_index] and go for $goals[random_index] (max combo, perfect count, perfect+good count, low boos, low misses are examples of skill goals. if you add anti-skill it should be relatively rare) then post your best score

            get 15mil gt a day for a daily bonus of 1000 credits
            it should work, i log into league every day for the extra 150ip for the first win of the day; 15mil is about 15-20 minutes of playing for a vet and is in reach for newer players as well. I'd assume maybe it would take them a little bit longer but not by much maybe around 30min of playing

            the trick is making it worth doing while keeping the amount of time you have to put into it reasonable. I think 15mil a day for 1000 credits would get a lot of people going at very least for that.

                Getting extra credits for completing a daily challenge sounds like a pretty decent idea, although I don't think 1k credits would fly for such a low number. Maybe 200 or 300 for 15 mil, but 1,000 probably would be a bit on the high end. Considering that you'd get about 300 credits for 15 million points by themselves, I wouldn't imagine more than 100% of that amount would be given as additional bonus.

                Not that I'd complain if I got 1k credits for a few game plays a day (or AAA's, arrows, perfects, whatever)!

                  People generally want a faster way to earn credits for their purchased/secret songs. It costs 93k to unlock all of purchased, and you need 150k in bank for secret. I think giving out 1k a day (for getting 15mil) is pretty reasonable. Anywhoooo it's all up to the staff in the long run.

                  also it would be cool if vets got 2k for 15mil, THAT would be the best vet feature lmao white font

                    Well sorry about the link, but I was thinking more along the lines of. Easy Challenges, Advance Challenges, and Master Challenges. 2 in each category with credits increasing along with the difficulty of song. For example a master challenge might be "AAA a song above 64 difficulty" for 400 or so credits. or an easy challenge would be "Accumulate a 500 combo on any song" for lets say 50 credits. Do you follow? +1 if you like.

                    @ icontrolyourworld : 1K credits for 15 million would sort of be way to high considering you earn 20 credits per million . 20 * 15 = 300 credits. maybe a 300 credit bonus would be more necessary.

                      I think this is a great idea, maybe even have it run by the community or something idk. I know it may be a lot of work but we could always do a pot prize, and have people choose to enter the daily challenge and attempt to win or play just for the hell of it. I think it would motivate a few people to play more then normal. I sure as heck wouldnt mind a challenge(other than just being on the top 10 for daily stats). good topic.
