Flash 11 is the most unstable Flash player I have ever run. I'm drunk as hell right now but was able to pull off 7 clean on Doomsday on Flash 10, I just downloaded and tried out Flash 11 and here are the results:
The first time I loaded up the song I noticed *considerable* lag, and restarted about 50 notes in. After the restart the song played smooth as glass up until I got my first good. The song remained at an almost unreadable FPS until right near the end. I'm sure you'll notice I stop derping retarded goods shortly before the song ends, because it resumed running smooth as glass. But then literally *right* before the song actually ended the FPS went to shit again. You can see that because I was AAA'ing the ending right up until the FPS went to shit, and the patterns are the same type of pattern.
End result, I feel I'm going to love Flash 11 when it's out of RC state, because those few glimpses of smooth FPS were just amazing. However, while it's still in RC, it's virtually unplayable due to the enormous drop in FPS for 90% of the song.
edit:
just watched my replay after installing Flash 11 for Firefox. Amazing FPS. Extremely smooth replay, smoothest FPS in a replay I've ever seen.
Derp, yeah, I just read through the entire thread and saw this.

Flash 11 is out, and is no longer a release candidate. Velocity said that the performance boost was VERY noticeable, and possibly better than Flash 8/9/10. Get it.
OP has been updated to reflect this -- can someone change the thread title and remove the Release Candidate portion? Thanks
fml... I wish it would consistently run smoothly. It runs amazingly when the FPS isn't fucced to shit.
ps,
also I never run FFR in browser. That was only a standalone test. If it ran as smoothly as the replays do in browser, and I could be bothered to zoom in on the browser every time I played I would probably ditch the standalone and run FFR in Firefox. Seriously, replays are smooth as hell.
F11 standalone ran amazingly well so much so that I made it my main flash player. Chrome automatically updates flash on its own so I've probably been running f11 without knowing it
