Where are the Simfiles??

So I don't know if it's just me being a newbie again since I haven't been on this in over two years, but... WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SIMFILES? WHERE ARE THEY?? Please reply

They are not here anymore. They had to take it out for copyright reasons.

For precision, it was removed about a month after the site came back from the dead approx 7 months ago

Serious idea: if the data for the FFR simfile database is still saved, someone should write a script that uploads every single one to bemanistyle!

That site seems to continue to be okay with breaking every copyright law under the sun, so why not unload our problems on them? FFR doesn't have the simfiles anymore, but people can still get them from BMS if they want: everybody wins, except BMS when the lawyers finally crack down on them but hey NOT OUR PROBLEM.

I think Synth might still have a copy offline somewhere, but it's unlikely since it was a pretty huge database and there was no chance of it ever being on the site again. Oh well, there were some cool files there.

In theory yeah.

In practice? The site was flagrantly infringing hundreds of thousands of music copyrights for over 6 years and didn't get shut down.
Eh, dump everything real quietly on Bemanistyle and let them deal with it >_>
