Brevity is the soul of wit, brother.The fun would be in the challange you presented YOURSELF based on the difficulty that was even ACROSS the board. The fun is in new SONGS, have we all forgotten that half the point of this game is the MUSIC?! Sorry, I love reading the pattern and making my old broken hands try to do them, but I am here for the MUSIC, and I am here to FEEL LIKE I AM PLAYING THAT MUSIC WITH 4 NOTES. It is the same reason I play Rock band, or Patapon. The MUSIC and the RHYTHM, NOT mindless " I have to turn off the music just to try to follow this because the steps are so off ". Look at my AAA record, notice I still have PLENTY on 3 - 8's NOT AAA, even though a LOT of them are. Why? Because those songs are FUN, I enjoy the SONG, AND, I enjoy the steps that go along with those songs, letting me feel like I am actually PLAYING the song, that I am interacting with it, not just " trying to keep up ". I have NO problem with FFR evolving, not one bit. Again I restate, I DO have a problem with MANY of the songs within each difficulty category being VASTLY different to one another. I do not even have any qualms with " Hard " songs, none at all, but only when they are in the correct difficulty level for that song.

No reason to get so upset I was merely pointing out that the same things over and over would get boring. The charts do represent the music it's just representing multiple parts of the music. I don't know if you're quite getting across what it is you're upset about. One minute it's about the difficulties being so vast, which I agree with I'd rather we had a scale of fifty or even 100 difficulties. But then you complain that charts have too much going on in them and that you don't like hands or this or that which is just evolution in stepcharting in general. Most times hands represent a loud sound in the song like a loud cymbal crash. If you truly listen to the music you'll understand what the stepartist is layering in and that it does follow the music.
I should also point out that we can't only cater to the casual players. There are a lot of players of all diff skill levels. Your attack on the way I present myself seems a little off putting, but since I am a fair man I will try to explain. I type in the same way I talk in real life, so basically every word in all caps is a word I would have stressed or emphasized if I was talking to you in person. It is hard online with text to show just what words you would stress with a different vocal in real life, I have adapted a way I feel gets my point across on the internet. Also, it was NOT a block of text, it was well formatted and well thought out.If you aren't enjoying the new files, don't play them.
Apparently this is a GAME that people play CASUALLY and just for FUN but not SERIOUS but yet they still HAVE to ENJOY every single LEVEL as if it was CUSTOM made FOR them?

EDIT- lest I sound too much like an ass, there is some good feedback hidden in that block of text. Be more specific with what "trills and jump patterns" you don't like, and I know many simfile artists will pay close attention. Me included. Constructive, specific, and concise feedback is appreciated more than you might think. TLDR rants that say nothing are ignored more than you might think.
Now, to get to the rest, you are correct. Not every song is catered to me, and I will not enjoy every song / stepfile released in game. No argument from me there. My problem is with how vastly different each song within the same category is becoming. If it is a 10, and stepped like all 10's before it, why would I even say anything? Yet when it is a 10 that FEELS like a 12, then there is something I am unhappy with, and it is not just the song, or hell even its steps, it is where the song ended up that bothers me." I don't want this to sound elitist or whatever it may come off as, but I really haven't noticed the 'supposed' recent increase in difficulty within each boundary for new files being added to the game...aside from the obvious addition of hands in lower-level songs (which I really don't think are that big of a deal, it's refreshing to see hands in a 7 or 8 every once in a while)
That being said, it's obvious almost everyone else seems to believe otherwise, so perhaps something should be done.
Then again, completely eliminating difficulty spikes for all future files would be retarded, and bumping up the difficulty of the song to match the file's hardest 'section' would also be quite foolish........eh

I'm kinda stating a fact. The more you get better the less complaints.
Focus on the thread please, you aren't accomplishing anything with the way you're posting.
OT: This is merely the opinion of someone who casually plays this game. If you complain about something being so hard, just get better at it. If you think that a 9 should be a 10 and a 10 as a 12 then that's your own problem. Once you get better you wouldn't complain about difficulties.
Seriously, you think everyone's been getting their skill handed to them on a plate? Everyone's been playing and playing to get better, and there are a lot of people who used to be in D1 are now D4+ in less than a year.
