I'm trying to get more adept with PS and would really like to give this a shot, but I'm a bit confused about what is actually meant by a "skin"... can someone explain what should be included in a submission? Should we be designing/ redesigning the layout, or dealing more with things like background designs and button sprites? What about note skins? Also, what sort of file types would be preferred?

Well, right now it more of a design the engine. That include any aspect you want to do.

For example, the categories list some of the things you can take a shot at and make a design/layout for.

Haha, that's why we have six other judges in there at a time. Plus (though the odds aren't for it), he might not even get to judge the submissions. It is a random draw for each submission, after all.

Don't forget the top 3/5 will also get things including the user title. I guess it should be noted that judges won't be able to judge there own designs to stay fair.
