I think it'd be great if failed skins with good ideas got redone by better artists. I'd love an 8-bit style skin, and if his doesn't go through it'd be great to have one done.

Mine is a little bit of a retro theme, but not straight up 8-bit.

Perhaps we will switch up the extent of the contest, and do a second round where artists can attempt to improve current accepted submissions. But that will be up to Zag and Velo, ultimately.

I really want to see some previews of the skins submitted :/ I'm sure most of the community would like to see what others have created so far. Feedback from the community couldnt hurt either.. not to take away from the judges scoring/opinion. I myself would find it interesting to see the changes the author of the skin made after the criticism of mainly the judges, but also the community.

So do we have to be able to include effects like highlighted items or does the engine do that already? I'm not good at creating effects movies or anything so if we are supposed to have a glow around a button or a moving background I have no idea how I will do that

Zageron, yes or no on community previews (of perhaps the main page only?).

Next, we need to get permission from the submitters. If they don't want it posted to the public yet, we wont.

You don't have to do that for the skin samples if you can't. It is nice, but that's alright if you can't.

It's up to the artists for this one, I give my approval to them all. (Excluding Linkisdoomed's skin. Let's keep that one less publicized.)

So my computer got screwed over, I had to do a hard drive format, and I've lost all the Photoshop Documents I had of my skin. I did, however, email them all to Justin_ Ator. I was wondering if he could possibly forward the email back to me?
