    The Disabled Genre

I've have looked at levelranks for a very long time and I have always wondered... what is the disabled genre, why are there playable songs like - Sequoia Throne there, why are they in a genre non-accessible to people who play FFR, and how can they be played? >_> I am somewhat curious for an explanation...

Sequoia Throne was already charted? Goddammit, there went one W.I.P.

Anyway, the disabled genre more than likely contains the level files for the old widget levels. Do you know what the widget levels were? If so, then that's all the explaining you really need.

It's just where all the disabled songs go for different reasons.

            Re: The Disabled Genre

The disabled genre contains stepcharts that were used on widget engines.

Widget engines were small little embeds that contained a few charts of a specific band, and these bands would place these embeds on their sites. More media is always a good thing.

Now that widgets no longer work, there's really no need for these files to be anywhere (although, Turn Soonest to the Sea [Oni] was a widget file if my memory serves me correct?)

Hey, that'd be a cool veteran feature. Play disabled songs for no levelranks.

Yeah most of disabled songs are ones we don't have permission, or old widget songs (and occasionally unreleased files).

And you can't play disabled songs. Basically they don't exist in the game, just haven't been deleted from the database for some reason.

And then Hyperactivity's in there because stargroup was bored one day if my memory serves right, but that doesn't really matter.

Oh, there's still files that were most likely used as widget files running around, mainly all the 3-4 minute Rock songs in the 6-8 range tagged [Heavy]. I'm not saying we should get rid of other songs tagged that way that ended up in a higher difficulty range such as Doomsayer or Blooddrunk, but those files are the main reason Rock is so bloated.
