If you read the white text in the OP, you would see that I didn't make this thread because it's a personal concern. You guys should make a thread where alts can post to get their account level ranks reset voluntary. It wouldn't fix the problem completely but it could be a start and may eventually lead to other people doing the same thing etc.Last edited by Hakulyte; 04-28-2011, 02:13 PM.Comment

I really don't see why it's such a big deal...the number of people that make alts that are going to read this is quite small, honestly. The majority of people with duplicate accounts are those that have only half an interest in this game and forget their password after a while so they have to make a new account. There are exponentially more of those than there are of good players making alts..

7th account reporting in. With alt accounts, it's incredibly easy to easy to see how much you've improved over the years by just looking at the level ranks for those accounts.Comment

I made another profile only to experiment with it. I put a picture of my fine looking friend as the avatar. I wanted to see the friend requests, thumbs up, and comments she would receive. She received more in those three fields in a week than I did in two years. Kind of tilting..but obvious.IF I CAN CLIMB A TREE, I CAN CLIMB MT EVEREST. As to the claim that it's actually the mid-range players most effected by this, I'll point out that you improve your rank on the song far more by reducing your score by one good when your rank is in the 5000-2000 range than you ever do by reducing it by one good if you're in the top 200 on the song.
The people doing most of the complaining are the people who care the most about their avrank, which are the people with the better avranks on the site, which are the people who are already top300 on basically every song. Only people ranking that high or better are affecting their ranks in the slightest.Comment
