- Tap keys louder on slow trills and make sure you keep the rhythm that's given to you after tapping the first two notes.
- Can't help you DP polyrhythms, maybe isolation.
- Keep hands really close to keyboard and don't tense up on really fast trills.
- Tap keys as lightly as possible so you don't choke on those. Good song to test out is Aim Anthem.
- Stepmania.
- Go AAA excite bike to increase your self-esteem.
- Fix your lag. Give more info about your specs if you actually need help.
- Act like they're 10s and you'll AAA.
- Hit the first two notes of the trill keep the rhythm and don't tense up.
- Pay more attention on easy breaks because you should know by now that all your bs goods are actually here.
- Improve your modesty.
- Convince yourself that they're not bad.
- Stepmania.
- Stop thinking when you see them coming.
- Turn sound off and keep concentration all the way.
- Keep playing, you'll eventually reach a point where you don't care anymore and will AAA one shot.
- Go find some hard packs on Stepmania and practice them.
- Act like they're two trills and not jumps and you shouldn't choke on those.
- Stop thinking too much.
I can't stream either. +1
- Figure out the early perfect frame and hit bursts on them.
- Slow trills it's just about tapping a bit louder to help keeping beat and keep the rhythm.
- Messed up polys pretty much needs isolation.
- Don't focus too much, it's going to mess up your concentration at some random point and you're going to get a blackflag at something you should have AAA'd. Just stare normally and rely a little more on automatisms and memorization for those parts.
- Act like the whole thing is one pattern because if you mentally separate them your hands will act like there's a small break.
- Go play something faster than your song and come back to it.
- Learn spread. Just kidding, for mental blocks don't rely on logic, just tap keys without thinking and trills for you is all about practice and learning to not tap too hard to keep your stamina.
- Act like they're jumps followed by a jack.
- Purchase robotic implants for your hands.
- Go play Radio Heads a lot non-mirror.
- Act like they're double trills and don't tense up your hands like you would normally do when there's jumps.
- Fool yourself into thinking that you don't give a f- about it.
...
As for me, I still can't roll anything except 1-2-3-4 rolls and I even still mess up some of them and I mentioned stream somewhere.Last edited by Hakulyte; 02-23-2011, 06:39 PM.

Left handed jacks. It is bad enough that I can't even AAA Counter Strike Gun Sounds. Heck, FCing it is hard enough. And let's not even talk about club.
I also suck at right to left rolls because my left hand can't do that pattern for some reason. However, my left hand is fast as crap at trills, interestingly."Running is a mental sport...and we're all insane!"

Mirror Counter Strike Gun Sounds and tap keys with less strength, you should 1-3 goods it and eventually AAA.Left handed jacks. It is bad enough that I can't even AAA Counter Strike Gun Sounds. Heck, FCing it is hard enough. And let's not even talk about club.

I have similar problems like you on other stuff you mentioned.
Lower your speedmod a bit so the frames are not lolwtf and screencut maybe to compensate speed.
I wonder if people actually care about feedback. lolLast edited by Hakulyte; 02-23-2011, 06:46 PM.

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
I'd say my greatest weakness would be a lack of control on one-handed patterns. Streets is a FABULOUS example of it...despite it being a VC, I can't even SDG.
Aside from that, PAing left-handed jacks. I could mirror the file, sure, but for songs like Battle Theme #37 where the second half is stepped as a reflection of the first, this merely delays the inevitable more often than not. Hell, even the opening jack in XP Sounds Attempt commonly gives me a grab bag of goods, avs, boos and even misses unless I mirror it.
One more thing that comes to mind is patterns that layer additional notes during a jack. Example songs that come to mind include Planetz, PE Gymnastics, and the ending of bmv.578. (Club and AIM Anthem has these in abundance during the second half, but you all knew that.) Visions and Force of Light include a couple of slower but similar patterns: [12][13][12][13] and so forth. If the jack is on one hand and the alternating notes are on the other, such as [14][24][14][24], it's not so hard to divorce the motions so long as I can keep up with the jack.Originally posted by thesunfanI literally spent 10 minutes in the library looking for the TWG forum on Smogon and couldn't find it what the fuck is this witchcraft IGR
