+1, split up the score threads by difficulty/skill levels.

This is another one of those ideas that will get retardedly debated for eons before it gets implemented anyway.

        This. Again, I'll quote bmah:

It's less of a medium for posting scores, but it's a better medium for newbies to get together.

Re: Multiple FFR Scores Threads By Skill Levels?

We shouldn't actually *NEED* to do it but the fact is that people want to be noticed no matter what skill level they are and that just doesn't happen in the normal FFR scores thread. It's nice for a new player to hear hey good job keep it up whatever it's encouraging. But if they wander into the ffr scores thread they will be intimidated. Maybe more new people would be appearing in the forums if there wasn't always stupid crap going on like the comments made in both of the scores threads. Not everyone gets a kick out of the drama crap that goes on.

I support the various difficulties unless the FFR scores thread can actually become a place where all skills are recognized, altho I think it's just beyond the point of that happening now. So it's probably for the better. Plus it can kinda been looked at as an accomplishment to graduate from one thread to the next.

It seems great how it is now. There is no reason to expand this any further.

Re: Multiple FFR Scores Threads By Skill Levels?

You know what the problem is?

                      1,726,993 members and growing!
                      341 users currently using FFR.

I haven't seen the 'currently using FFR' number higher than 500 since FFR's revival. And ok, sure, why not, let's assume they're all forum-goers since the number's piss small anyways.

My point is: no one plays this damn game anymore

The majority of people that still play and post are those that broke the 'pro' barrier before FFR shut down. Players that aren't 'pro' refuse to post because 'non-pros' are the minority at the moment. And I swear to God, as soon as that Amateur FFR Scores thread was made, I saw a bunch of players posting there that I've never even seen in the FFR Scores thread. Basically, if we're tired of seeing just the same people posting over and over (and I know a ton of you guys are), we need to do more shit like the Amateur Scores thread to appeal to lesser skilled players.

Otherwise everyone's just gonna stop playing.

its a good idea. and will start some good rivalry. who knows maybe that thread will open up doors to people that will one day be at the top of the ranks.

Or we could have just let this die. Either or i guess.

I still don't understand all the opposition towards the amateur thread. I guess some people can't rest easy unless there is only one FFR scores thread.

I think what Plan_B was basically getting at (sorry used you cause you bring it up the most) is that all the "newbies" should just start posting over there until they get recognized. His point is that lower scores go overlooked because people aren't posting them enough there because they've been too afraid to. Which I don't blame people for feeling that way it's hard to feel good about posting a lower level AAA when you've got ppl posting FGO AAAs around you.

I still think that having like tiers of threads to post scores in could be a really good thing for encouragement and it makes it easier for people to see others of their own skill level and challenge them.
