    Adding Hold notes and Mines to FFR

    I just recently got Stepmania, which shows what i know :P But still, i have seen 2 features that are not included in FFR, the first being Hold Notes and the second being Mines. I personally do not like mines much, but hold notes would be a welcome addition in my book, But i would like to know your thoughts on the subject. Please dont let this get into another thread about random people and there girlfriends XD

    If you want holds, play stepmania.

      All of the stuff that is home to SM should stay there. The general FFR community doesn't want to merge the concepts of Stepmania with FFR because bad things will happen.

        holds would not work cause of the boo factor. if you hold down a key, you will get boo's...think about it and mines would just be gay

          Well...the concept of mines isn't completely oblivious on FFR. Take for example Nanairopanda v2 (one has to avoid hitting yellow arrows to unlock this song). As for holds, those aren't really seen anywhere on here unless you go play a simfile in the database or play R2. lul

              Yeah, there aren't any direct mines on any stepcharts in FFR the game, but the concept does lie in some skill tokens.

                I've already asked about mines. To the best of my knowledge, it will never happen.

                I would love to see both [holds / mines] in FFR. Holds might happen eventually, but it is actually kinda cool to not have them. And I'm just a large fan of mines, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem like anyone else is. I'm always telling people to play with them on since they can be really cool if used properly.

                  If you want minds or holds, play stepmania. simple as that.

                  I only want to focus on hitting the stupid arrows, not holding them, or having random mines pop up anywhere.

                  if holds or mines are entered into FFR, most people will quit normal FFR and find a ffrndanother way to play like we used to.

                    Mines and/or Holds are not something that is at all being looked at for FFR currently.

                    "No holds" has always been a universal standard rule for song submission. The way the game works (namely boos and boos breaking combo) makes that untenable.

                    As for mines "mines will not be in FFR... as long as my voice is being listened to" is a direct Tass quote.
