definately something that makes you original, like when i am scrolling up on a forum, i can tell that the post is made by tasselfoot before i see the avatar because his signature is something i remember.

I know one thing you shouldn't use: those custom badges.

EDIT: Just use something cool and outstanding for sigs; sarahxjane used to put quotes. Use some well-done graphics, too.
