*ahem* (sorry Byron! ) I haven't actually been re-directed to this site at all being a subby, so to the person who addressed the problem to affecting subbies, I actually don't know if that's the truth.

Synth needs to stop the ads from injecting themselves into the site. Also, just a question, because I am truly unsure about this: can these same ads that are injecting themselves into the site cause spambots to post those ridiculous offers in an insane speed?

Because if that's the case, there's gonna be a major problem looming in the community. >_>;

(If my question was stupid, don't insult me for it, I was actually asking.)

What type of injection are they using? If so, you might be able to stop it, there's many different programming forms that allow injections and different ways to stop them

Oddly enough, while viewing this thread i was redirected once to blackpeoplemeet.com and then to a yellowpages search thing for "chocolate in milwaukee". But its nice to see that others share my pain (not to say that i like to see people in pain, of course)

guys... we want to fix this, but we need your help to do so. if this happens to you, please screenshot the FFR page with the ads that are showing, and if possible (really, the most important thing we need), copy the URLs of the ads so we can target and remove them.

otherwise, this: [12:09] Synthlight: Still no idea where it is coming from. My only solution would be to block out all ads for 1-2 days and then try to bring back one at a time because essentially it could be coming from any of 10000+ advertisers from our 10+ ad companies.

Of note: while it happens, there is NO ad showing in the top left adbar. If I see an ad up there, it doesn't seem to happen (for the last 10 page loads, at least, for what it's worth.) AdblockPlus shows no blockable items on the page during an episode of this redirection.

If you click stop as soon as the site starts redirecting, the issue stops. This makes me think it's just a script that runs once as opposed to implanted malware. Presumably, this makes it javascript. If anyone has a program that can track scripts that are running, it probably wouldn't be a waste of time to see if you can catch this script firing.

Alright, it's starting to get out of hand for me.

I'm used to being redirected to stupid ads like buy these shoes / lingerie, take this IQ test. . .etc.

But today took the cake. Typed in FlashFlashRevolution.com and left to use the restroom. Came back and I'm on Fling.com. Didn't even know that it happened and my little sis and who else knows came by the comp seeing pics of bj's and tits. Good stuff (really, chick sucked a really mean cock).

Please someone look into this because it happens on almost every computer I use, even at school.

I was getting redirected to fling.com or blackpeoplemeet every time I entered a thread or went back to the homepage. It went away when I installed adblock on Firefox though.

Yes, and it was quite annoying. Did it like 8 times in a row the other day, Raged in MP chat then it mysteriously stopped and i was able to resume my FFRing. 80% of the time redirects happen for me only when browsing profile related things, i don't get them usually in the actual FFR the Game, or if i do, its right when i try to load the page up and after i get over that stumble im fine. I really need to stop using I.E. It would probably solve most of my problems

So then what's with the random PDF redirects? It basically slows down my computer so that I can't do anything until the page loads, which can take like 20 minutes. I keep adding the pages to my adblock, but even more come. I'm concerned that its malware or something harmful to my computer.

I'm the CEO of blackpeoplemeet.com. I found this thread b/c i have a google news alert, and it brought me here. I'm very concerned by what's happening here and want to stop it. You see, we advertise with many ad networks and affiliates, and what I'm hearing in this thread makes me think one or more of them has gone rouge and is driving us bad traffic, making us look bad, and ruining your experience. If you can send me any info such as the URL or the script please post it here and I'll send it to my ad team to see if they can figure out who's doing this and stop it. If the moderators or techies at FFR have any more info on it, please let me know.
