What should my goals be?

Well, i've been signed up since the 19th, can beat most Very Challenging songs, have 2 AAA's and 13 FC's, and my rank is 108,654.(at time of posting this) So what should my goals be?

Keep trying songs you need improvement on and pick up on the skills you need to do exceptionally well.

If you want to get better, do not think practicing is not an option, because more likely than not, it will always one.

FCs with high accuracy.

The lower you get those good, average and boo counts the better.

If you can FC a song without mashing at any point consider it an accomplishment, and the harder the song the better.

what you need to do is first set up a very long term goal, what do you want to achieve during your stay here at FFR? then you need to set up smaller goals on the way to that bigger goal. now atm, overall rank means pretty much nothing, cause the top person in that category is basically who plays the most, it is not determined by skill. work on your average rank. get a score on every song, FC all lvl 1-5s, AAA all lvl 1-3s, FC all lvl 6-8s, ETC.

just make lots of seperate goals according to what you want to accomplish out of this game.

The goals depend on you and how much determination you possess to achieve them. A couple factors that may help you decide is that you should strive towards getting a low average rank instead of a low overall rank. Average ranking is a better indication of your skill level. Overall ranking conveys how much you play. To view your level ranks, click this link.

Another thing that you should try is to not mash. Instead of mashing, try to hit the patterns you can read clearly. While doing that, work on your PA (Perfect Attack).

Also, focus on AAAs. FCing harder songs is easily aquired in time, but having good PA takes longers for some.


A little friendly advice is to hold off on creating ~3 threads daily. If you have a question, ask any member, or search the forums, first.

Get up to about 300 FCs and AAAs.
Get 5,000 overall rank and lower.
Get 1,000 average rank and lower.

Question...
What skill does it take to get overall rank if it's based on your total score?

Someone "Inferior" to the game can play a multitude of games and become a really "high" rank (correct term to use for percentiles, I believe) for an overall grade, but not improve much in the actual game.

basically as good as u can get it, id say a really good average rank is under 1000. m av rank atm is only about 1800 but it goes down every day. mastering is game is basically getting an average rank of 1, which, atm, only 1 person has (correct me if im wrong) so yeah, just keep trying to get it as good as possible

Actually a couple of people have an average rank of 1, including me. It's just that we've been lazy with AAAing the new songs and stuff. =]

As for what's a good average rank, that's very subjective. Like Bolth mannn said, try to get it was good/low as possible.

AAA at least 500 public
Tier 2 or 3 at least
Combo Almost There without mashing the 32nds. :]
