Another Vista has just entered my household and it still runs perfect and rules. So what was that?, it was only just me having one lucky Vista that runs perfectly? I can continue buying Vista's and I bet they will all run fine.

i like vista better. i dont have a real reason besides it looks better than xp, but it came with my laptop, so its what i use. i dont have any problems with it either.

I used to have XP, but some power outage screwed it up. On my way to get it fixed, I dropped the tower and broke the video output. I had to get a new PC, which had Vista (this was a little over a year ago).

I have to say despite of the better graphics, Vista is worse than XP. Windows XP ran much faster and cleaner than Vista does. When it comes to Vista, anything that CAN fail WILL fail. I can't even count the number of times I've seen the "Not Responding" on Vista. I can't wait until Microsoft launches Windows 7 Beta next month. Many people say that Windows 7 runs much, MUCH better than Vista.

I'd say "Vista sucks because _____ " but then all the Vista fanatics would just RUSH to valiantly defeat me with an epic series of quotefests and logical counters.

I'd say "Vista is better because _____ " but then all the XP fanatics, who know better than to upgrade to Vista because of all of its millions of problems, would righteously inform me of how completely foolish and oblivious I am to Vista's shortcomings.

Windows 7 will be awesome...they're doing a lot of performance and UI enhancements that will basically make it what Vista should've been.

That said, I like Vista. I've had no problems with it that I wouldn't get in XP. The problem is that Microsoft was pressured by hardware makers to make the "Vista Capable" category for computers that really aren't capable of running Vista. If you put Vista on good hardware, it will run better on that hardware than XP would...basically, once you reach a certain point, Vista becomes much better. And seriously, nowadays it's pretty inexpensive to get decent hardware that's capable of running Vista.
